Japanese beatsmith Bugseed put together a wickedly nice mix of some of his favourite cooled out beats for our latest guest mix. The selection contains works by artists like Letherette, Abjo, Lone, Tight Mike and others, showing where Bugseed takes some of his influence from when creating beats.
The surging instrumentals progress through a sequence of sonic blooming in what could be perceived as an audible representation of the transition from winter to spring time. 21st Urban Waves podcast with a live set by BUGSEED from Tokyo! We're very pleased to bring you this gem of a set recorded exclusively for the Urban Waves Radio project. Bugseed is one of our favorite young producer/beat maker in Japan. We've asked him to record a live set with his freshest beats and the result is extremely enjoyable! With this set I want to establish a dialogue between artists and listeners… Let's go back to the origins of things we consume. Being so used to shop in stores, malls or on the internet, we never bother to think about those who produce the goods. Contact between producers and customers is very important. Music is no exception.
